Thanks for the info so far!
Just humor me on the multiple graphs with the DSP button in and out - it's a worthwhile endeavor since measurements take almost no time once you're setup & measuring. And, if/when you get time, restrict the graphs to 10-100Hz if you don't mind...just makes it easier to compare and make suggestions for your single PEQ. Also set the window display to Hann instead of Tukey or whatever it's at.
By looking at your response in both mains and subs, it's looking like you have major room modes at 57Hz and somewhere around 110Hz? But, that's just what it is.
Perhaps some of that can be fixed with some fiddling. You'll get there.
I'm also curious how you have the Triax oriented. I wonder if changing its position by a few inches or rotating it slightly would impact your results. Sometimes the little things make a big difference.
As for movies, Tron:Legacy is a good one, but does contain a lot of clipping...at least it has some ULF, whereas STID doesn't. The 2009 Star Trek is actually an amazing movie for ULF, by contrast!
You got a world-class sealed sub because you want that stuff under 20Hz.
Some good recommendations with ULF are found in this thread
, but some of my favorites (good movies, not just bassfests) are:
The Incredible Hulk
Live Free or Die Hard
The Hurt Locker
2009 Star Trek
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
That should get you started!
As for people claiming the Triax is doing 130dB inside their homes at any frequency, it ain't happening unless you're sitting on the thing. It's no doubt a great sub, but it ain't magic.
