I agree... Monoprice is the way to go. If you want a little better cable (piece of mind) get the Redmere ones.

I got a day one edition, but I am getting nervous because I have heard nothing from Xbox about shipping it. Really it is for the kids, as I like to watch.

I just got everything from best buy, everything preordered is always there on time and with in store warranty, I can exchange everything I've bought as many times as it breaks. If you preordered then it should be guaranteed to get there on Friday. Everything looks like it's going good with xbox, haven't heard of any delays.

In return, you have additional costs for the amp and the 240V circuit plus additional work for installing the circuit. So the following question seems obvious: Why did you order the 6 KW Triax instead of the 4 KW version?

Same reason why I'm upgrading from 2 XV30's to 1 Triax. Short answer - don't need, want smile.gif Long answer - I'm happy paying the extra for something more exclusive. I know it sounds really narcissistic, but I have a hard time believing that any $3K+ sub is a need, so for me it's to scratch an itch.

When you order online check the shipping method... I usually get mine overnight for the cheapest price. Monoprice cables are lifetime warranty.

Could prolly get something like this: Monoprice Reedmere HDMI

Reedmere cables are unidirectional tho, they have to have a specific end connected to a specific component, no biggie though, if u connect it and it doesnt display, u just swap ends around. smile.gif

I've compared $200+ HDMI cables to my mono price cables.....I returned the expensive ones. I could not see or hear a difference. Maybe, maybe in a several hundred thousand dollar and up you'll be able to tell....but I doubt it.

As to why, I"ll let someone with more technical expertise answer that. All I need to know is that I couldn't see or hear any difference.

Breaking news, this just in.........
An antidote has been found and is call "The Quadzilla". Those infected are advised to order 4 Triaxes and have them placed in 4 corners immediately! Symptoms are believed to improve within 24 hours if enough current is provided. For faster relief Audyssey eq XT32 may also be added. Side effects are as follows,

It's pretty simple; with digital signals, the cable is either fully passing all the 1's and 0's properly, or it isn't. There is no such thing as 'richer' or 'more vivid' colors or 'tighter bass' due to 'better' HDMI cables.

You either get the digital signal properly, or you don't. First indicators of a sub par HDMI cable is usually video sparklies and other anomalies (neon posterization) etc., to severe blocking and loss of picture. The folks claiming richer colors and deeper blacks are full of it and don't understand the differences between digital and analog signals.

Max

I bought more expensive ones months ago when I first started and didn't know what was what, I thought for 3d capability on all my devices that I would need a certain level of hdmi.
