Actually If you order from http://www.ascendacoustics.com/pages/products/subs/subintro.html you don't pay tax as ascendacoustic is in CA but the subs will be shipped from Austin, TX. Better if you order from Ascend and tell them not to ship to avoid shipping charge and tax as you can drive to pick them up in Austin. Not sure if they allow you to do that though. That would be lots of saving.

Just e-mail Rythmik and ask about the options, since you are considering picking up. No shipping is a big savings, since they are so big and heavy.

Also, you may want to play around with different placement, if you can. Placing subs on opposite sides or opposite corners can cancel out dead spots. It helped a lot for my room.

Ordering from Ascend is an interesting idea. Will check with them and see if that is possible.

I just checked. Ordering from Ascend with the 10% discount would be $2569.20 shipped. You'd pay $85.94 more than buying from Rythmik directly, but you'd save yourself from making the trip to Austin and back. I'd buy from Ascend.

Ascend says if I want to pickup locally I will have to pay tax. Checking to see if I pay shipping will I avoid tax. Happy to support a local company, not so happy to support the Fed!

You will not pay tax if order from Ascend. I did it as I am in Dallas. You will pay for shipping though.

I think the taxes would be state and local. Why not order directly from Rythmik? Maybe you can talk Enrico into dropping them off, since he's in Houston. Just kidding -- not really suggesting that.

The is only one Hsu vented 15" sub and that is the VTF15H. It is a high quality unit, but the Rythmik FV15HP is top of the food chain on vented subs under 2k.

FV15HP>PB13U>VTF15H>XV15

However a pair of any of these subs would be more then most folks can tolerate for any length of time in a average size room. I think on this forum some of us tend to split hairs comparing a few db of output and over analyze max burst thd graphs. The fact of the matter is all 4 of these subs have gobs of output and great sound quality. Pick whatever one appeals the most, fits the budget, and enjoy smile.gif

You have already budgeted the money so don't go weak on us now smile.gif

There is a guy in the official Rythmik thread that bought two F25s for a room only 1400 cu. ft. I'm sure a lot of guys here would tell you ain't no such thing as too much sub...

True dat!

Like I said I'm going big this time! Your right I should just get 2 right off the bat

Also with 2 ill only have to calibrate once

I wonderr how big the diffrence will be from the lv12r? I hope the bass is absolutely amazing in both output and quality! I hope it opens up a new level of bottom end extension too!

Should I go apologize to the neighbors early? Lmao

Disappointing, but don't cancel and buy something else. That's a quick fix, but think you would be sorry in the long run you didn't hold out for what you really wanted.

Expect a big jump in everything (extension, output, accuracy,etc... ) if you integrate them properly. Avoid sound wave cancellation. Remember Brian recommends a single FV15hp over dual LV12Rs. That alone tell a lot especially from the one who designs them but wait, you get dual FV15HPs and have a lv12R as third, I bet you will be in bass heaven.

Consider yourself lucky. I have to wait at least 5 months before a matte LV12R will be available! (but you already knew that wink.gif)

Ya I don't think that's good buisness on their part. Thats way to long to be out of stock of anything! Esspecially something as simple as color options.

Its worse for ppl who already bought one and want to add a second but can't get a maching sub for half a year. Boooo to rythmik for that
