Searched but havent found anything bw dual vtf15 vs one fv15. Would love anyones advice. AVR has multieq xt32 so that helps with dual sub calibration. Room is close to 1000 sqft. Suppose if I wait I could swing dual rythmiks but that is a little spendy. This is near 100% movie use. Placement would be in either rear corner or both rear corners. Subs with a. 7.x setup of kef ci9000 inwalls. Again thx in advance.

For output, the Rythmik has on average about 4 to 5 dB more output capability than the VTF15h. Two VTF15Hs would come pretty close to closing this gap, maybe coming out slightly ahead at some frequencies and slightly behind at others. Two subs will give you better coverage and more even bass over a wider seating area, so a flatter frequency response. I think the Rythmik's much more massive driver and servo mechanism could give you sharper bass at normal listening levels.

1000sqft room with average 8' ceiling height = 8000 cubic foot which is huge room. At a minimum, you need two subs, so I would take two VTF15's.

Ceilings are vaulted up to probably 20 ft middle and around 10 ft on sides of room. I overestimated sqft a little though, after measuring its about 750 sq ft.

That is a lot of area. You're going to need at least 2 of either.

What do you have now?

Sadly, none. Left all my old equipment in old theater when we sold the house. Just finishing getting it all setup at new house and dropped quite a bit on starting over and getting Crestron control system. Starting to wonder if I should start with one fv15 then add a second in a few months. Dont want to be disappointed with the Hsu but it is about half the price though.

I would have to go for the dual VTF-15 in this case. But if you can swing 2 FV15 subs in the near future, that would be a really sweet setup.

I would go with one FV15HP now and add another down the road when funds allow.

A&M: Be sure to include sales tax on the Rythmik subs when weighing your options.

Yeah, with the rythmiks I would get stuck with tax. Could pick up local and save on shipping but probably as much in gas to drive from houston to austin.

3100 for dual fv15hp with standard finish, taxand shipping vs 2000 for the same with the vtf15. Having not heard either makes it difficult. Basically going on reviews though both seem well rated. Rythmik I guess better regarded, at least on the audioholics review. I did purposely spend more on my avr to get the audessey xt32 for dual subs.

Now all that matters is how much you really want to spend. Both sets should do the job. The Rythmiks may get you a little more volume and just might dig a little deeper but you're going to have to pay for it. You have to decide whether what extra you get is worth the extra $1,100.

I actually figured the price for the piano black accidentally. So it is really 2600 for dual rythmiks. Still 600 bucks more. Anyone care to offer their completely subjective assessment if its worth it?

Well the objective assessment would be the data showing the rythmik has better performance which I think is generally accepted. But subjectively, is the difference worth 600 bucks. That would be hard to objectively assess! Regardless, I am open to all opinions. I confess that subs are not my forte!

I know you like your VTF15's but the FV15HP's are substantially louder, deeper, better built all around, and they are only 600.00 more.

For the record dual FV15HP's are 2570.00 shipped in the continental 47 states....might be more if Texas residents have to pay sales tax.

Op, look up the data between the two @ data-bass.com/systems
