Hello,

There seems to be a consensus that ported subs are better for movies and sealed subs are better for music.

But my question is how much of a real difference? Primarily my setup is for movies however I do listen to music. My current sub is a sealed 8 inch velodyn that is 13+ years old and it is time to replace it as I am replacing L/C/R with Klipisch (RB-61 II, RC-62 II and RB--61). I have been considering Rythmik LV12R but am concerned that it will ruin listening to music. Thoughts?

Thanks

The LV12R has adjustable damping. You could use maximum damping for music and use minimum damping for movies -smile.gif

Ya I actually use med for music and it sounds pretty good. Rarely use high and always use low for movies.

If they have the same frequency response and displacement limited output, none. Neither format is necessarily more accurate than the other, and that's what matters.
