I added them up separately as opposed to a package price....still, ouch! But, a man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do. It's da law. tongue.gif

Free shipping is a misnomer as most of the time, shipping is included in the price and in the case of many ID dealers, if the party stops by and picks the subwoofer up, shipping fees are waived.

As an example, our CC was charged $2,570.00 USD for a pair of, shipped to our home, FV15HPs. All fees/taxes included, how much would the same purchase cost your CC to show up at your Canadian front door?

Hey Bee...I was talking with another member and he mentioned to me that the Rythmik FV15 shipped to Britsh Columbia would be an additioal ~$440.00 dollars not including the USD to CAN$$ conversion.

Oh my. I've purchased a boatload of gear from Henry's and it was nothing like that. Didn't weigh a million pounds either. Wow!...eek.gif Also we get prescriptions filled from a Canadian pharmacy. Most of the time, much cheaper than local.

Holy wow! Based on shipping differences, brokerage fees and sales taxes, a pair would be well over an additional thousand US if purchased from Rythmik.

Ouch!! That takes a bit of the fun out of it.

It makes sense why a lot of guys in Canada buy the SVS products.

Beeman, looks like both the East and West coasts are taking a hit with winter storms. Here in Central VA we have 1/2 inch of ice and cold temps and more on the way. Tomorrow looks to be worse.

Hey everyone, stay safe and warm. Looks like these are good days to stay inside and enjoy the HT.

I hear all those Canadians are getting oil rich. They can afford it. tongue.gif

(J/K guys)

The weather report from the Northwest Coast (Northern California) it's starting to warm up. Currently it's 36F and it's expected to get up to 44F this afternoon. And at 2,300', we're expecting the weather to warm up to the high 40's or low 50's over the next four or five days. Here, things should start melting fast and the warmer temperatures will be cascading East over the next few days.

Hang on people, warmer weather is coming.

Yeah, if it weren't for the extra shipping cost plus the generous taxes I'd probably already have a couple of FV15HPs on order. frown.gif

As far as I'm concerned, just be happy with what you have. Which I am. smile.gif

No need. I'll just drill a couple of large holes into each of my SS-18.1 cabinets and paint "FV15HP" on the sides. That oughta do it... cool.gif

For you Canadians watching this, plan at least 10-15% of your purchase price in brokerage fees alone plus your province sales taxes. (although the sales taxes are not automatically charged by the seller, if he's from another province, or the US of course. Usually, a seller from Ontario won't charge his province sale's taxe if he sell a product to someone in Quebec for example)

UPS, fedex, DHL etc... they alll charge import and brokerage fees based on the declared value. So plan accordingly. So if you can ship using USPS or Canada Post, do it.
