I moved to a new house which is pre wired for 6.1 system. The in ceiling speakers installation went well. But I have a 4 wire 16 AWG and 2 wire 2C 22AWG cables available for sub woofer connection. I have aHTR 7065 Yamaha receiver and JBL SP 150 sub woofer. According to the builder the 22AWG 2 wire grey cable is able for Sub woofer sue only and not for security system.

I want to use the co axial input of the sub woofer . Any suggestions on how to use the existing wires to convert to co ax format. Also request suggestions on any connectors that i can buy to convert it.

Wait for the experts comment.

Best,

Venkat

You can't convert wire from standard to coax. You can try using standard wire, but you'll probably have noise issues.
