For $500? The SVS PB-1000.

For $600? The Rythmik LV12R.

The Hsu VTF-2 MK4, at its sale price, is just a little over your budget. I really like the LV12R too.

Both have 12" drivers.

Hi, fairly new member here - still in my initial research for HT equipment, which I plan to buy in late summer. This thread has been educational.

+1 to #50 all others on those lines.

I stumbled upon this because Emotiva is one of my options for amp. I had seen a couple of other posts where people posted their good experience and said this was the best company for CS. It is good to have other facts and see both sides of the coin.

Another takeaway from this thread is to be careduful with any company's products that are on their way out, or fairly new products of companies that have the risk of not being successful.

Thanks.
