BPS 215 arrived today, looks to have survived shipping perfectly, looks great (haven't powered it up yet but going to soon)....so I have a Denon 2809, what do you guys suggest I set it at before running the Audessey Multi EQ? There are 5 dials and not sure what to do with EQ settings, etc- I figure gain should be low, and crossover high...not sure about the other 3....I have 7 NHT IW3's in the walls in the theater for the rest of the setup-

I would start with the gain about 10:00.
Crossover should be all the way up to 200 if you are not using the LFE input. (I recommend using the LFE input and letting the Denon do the bass management).

For the PEQ if you set the level to zero (look at the markings as zero is not all the way down), then the amp's internal eq-ing will be flat. You can then run Audyssey, then re-adjust your sub level to taste afterwards if needed.

Give me a call tomorrow if you need further help and I'll walk you through it over the phone!

I agree with Player3, give us some speaker porn please Jeremy!

I'm pretty sure it will convince some of us having last minute little doubts before buying

The quality of your sub offerings tells us that we are likely going to get the same bang for the buck if we do buy!!! Can't wait to see them closer, and have a better look at that seemingly awesome driver!!

So , Hook, what are your impressions yet? looking forward reading them!

I must add that I've taken subs break in with a grain of salt, but they did improve slightly after some hours of play!
Don't know if it's placebo or user break-in , but I loved them even more afterwards.

Sorry for keeping you in suspense. Pics should be done this weekend I hope.
I agree that I need better pics of this monster coaxial than what Radian has up.
I am looking at a couple right now and they certainly are more intimidating looking than most subwoofer drivers!

I Spent today boxing up and testing PS 215x and other subs. I was on my own today.
It's actual quite humorous watching me box up a 135 lb sub by myself.
It's a very, very tricky process.....so far no back injuries.

I don't actually have it yet, it's just me anticipating the joy to come. I have had to extricate some beastly subs of late - one weighing over 150 pounds - so I've become rather adept. But it's still not down to a science just yet...

K, sent you an email too. Your 4 subs are assembled and ready to leave, I'm just waiting on my next truckload of custom cardboard boxes for them (which should be here on Tuesday). As soon as that truck gets here, we will box them up right away and they will go out the next morning.

Please note some products had different lead times due to different vendor supplies, cabinet work orders etc etc.
We had orders for about 5 times what we anticipated on the BPS 212 the week you ordered and the week before.
Thank goodness we are finally through it all by the beginning of next week.

We appreciate your patience with us and hope these little hand built monsters end up being worth the wait for you.

Open the box, off with the top, then roll it upside down and then pull the box up.

It's amateur hour at my house so keep that in mind with any of my impressions, BPS 215 was very well packaged and solid, not a scratch on it...ran audyessy multi EQ XT on my denon and came back with -12, so probably need some adjusting?...I had gain at 10:00 and crossover at 200,.....watched divergent blu-ray (not a great movie, and probably didn't show off what it could do), sounded very good, not localized at all, and things in the room that vibrated before, didn't....very happy with it-

Now really wanting to see what it can do with proper source material (I'm thinking something with more explosions), just haven't had enough time, would like to experience some of this foundation shaking i've heard about! I've only spent about 3 hrs with it so far (and do I really need to add anything about the customer service, I even had a voicemail waiting checking in on how things were going)

Hey everyone, new here and I'm here just post about a BPS-215 I received today. I'm a member over at home theater shack but have been reading this thread since it has started, so figured I would chime in. I'm from a town about 40 minutes away from Gulfport where Jemery's business is located so I felt a small obligation to highly consider the local option. Also, the reviews on here and the design of the subs helped me decided on reaction audio; sealed, not ginormous, and extremely budget friendly.

I went to Jeremy's house today, great guy. Walked me right inside and we started listening to his new cx-10s along side a b stock 215 with a Dayton 1000 watt amp. I can't remember what songs we demoed but as soon as he turned it up, I couldn't stop grinning. It sounded like there was 5 speakers all across the front of the room, the imaging and clarity of those radian drivers is insane. I could hear different drums in different parts of the room as if I was standing infront of the drum set itself. I had to ask if the center channel was on because the sound was so full and room filling, it wasn't. Easily the best speakers I've ever heard. Take that with what you will as I haven't heard many speakers, but I could tell these were special. Many times me and Jemery would look at each other and just laugh they sounded so good.

Now on to the sub. He popped in transformers and started the opening scene. The bass just pulsated through my body.. It was clean, loud, and I felt every note, although his widow took more of a beating, I was scared he was going to rattle it to shattering. It just sounded great.. So clean and so tight. The gain was set to about 12 o'clock, crossed at 80hz and it had no eq what so ever. It was also just sitting catty whomped pulled out in his room near a corner. Still sounded amazing and was hard to localize if I just focused on the movie. It had me grinning from ear to ear.

Couldn't be happier with my purchase; and Jeremy was just great to work with. Gave me huge amounts of info, answered a million questions, called and checked on me, worked with my budget etc etc. A all in all great stand up guy, I would recommend anyone looking for a new sub/speaker set up to highly consider this new company. Just give him a call or send him an email, you'll know what I mean.

Hope this helps anyone on a fence about purchasing! I'll answer and questions further if anyone has any and will post pics soon.

Thanks, James.

The word that comes to mind for those speakers is "belligerent". (I mean that as a compliment lol)
Is there a port tube or is that just a hole in the baffle? It's hard to tell from the pictures.

It is a tuned port to around 50 hz. We just used some mdf to extend it deeper than the baffle.

No, it has not been cancelled. Just postponed. We may have jumped the gun a little bit.
Turns out the lead time on the kapton former voice coils was going to be quite a few weeks.
So we are not going to be able to take orders on this product until after the fall it seems.
If it had not been for that, we would have launched it very soon.

In other news, it looks like Ricci will be able to test a sealed sub of ours as well as the PV-15x he has on hand. If weather is permitting, he may be able to run the tests on Sunday.
It may take a little time to sort through the data and get it published, but I will keep everyone updated.
I've had a lot of folks interested in the PV-15x that have been waiting to see the CEA output numbers. While I don't expect anything "earth shattering", I do believe the results will be very respectable given the price range.

Thanks to all for being patient who have been awaiting this data.

Ok I have finally finished reading this entire thread since having Reaction Audio suggested to me for my sub choice. I have a 20x23x8ft living room which is theater room also which opens into a kitchen. I only want to use one sub in my setup to replace my Polk PSW 505 so I'm thinking the PV15x with 1000w would do the trick for mostly movie watching. So unless you guys think a single PS215x would do better for me I am going to go with the ported 15. Then I will always have the option to use the PSW505 with it since it's also ported but my hope is to eliminate the PSW505 from the system. Besides I don't think duals subs will get wife approval if it would I go dual PS215x.
Anyway I look forward to supporting a small start up business.

So unless you guys think a single PS215x would do better for me I am going to go with the ported 15. Then I will always have the option to use the PSW505 with it since it's also ported but my hope is to eliminate the PSW505 from the system. With that size room, I do think one PV15x will do the trick quite well.
Since it opens into the kitchen, I think it will provide a slightly flatter response than the 215x.

Our own living room area is about 20x24 opening up into the rest of our house and a single PV-15x drives it pretty effortlessly.

I haven't heard the PV15X, but the PS215X is superb. The extension is phenomenal when you give it a little boost around 18hz with the parametric EQ. But what's the PS215X have more than an abundance of? That 30-80hz hit in your chest! For my music listening, it's thrilling. And certainly, it is no slouch with movies either--even those low-frequency scenes.
I'll let Jeremy direct you with which would be better for you, I just wanted to advocate for the PS215X from my experience.. Because I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a piece of audio equipment.
