Thinking about a possible sub upgrade in the future when it makes money sense. I already have a pc12+ with the 525 watt BASH which I LOVE. Would selling it and getting a used pb13 ultra with the BASH amp be a better option than adding a 2nd PC 12 or 20-39 PC +? Posted this on the SVS forum and got nothing.
Thanks.

There is 2 PB13U for sale in the audio gear section...one is a older 750watt bash for 1100.00 and the other is a 1000k watt sledge for 1500.00.

I checked on the bash model one already, I just can't help but think that 2 pluses will outgun a single ultra, but I don't know.

Why not just buy a used ultra and run it with the plus?

Unless you place the 2 pluses next to each other, it will not outgun an ultra in output.

The current Plus has 3dB less output than the ultra, and your BASH Plus will have even less output, probably another 2-3dB assuming you have the 12.4 driver, and even less if you have 12.3 or older Plus drivers.

If you place the 2 subs apart, you'd only gain about 3dB more instead of 6dB. However, you will get better bass across more listening positions in the room.

How does a new plus compare with the old Ultra?

PB12 Ultra or PB13 Ultra with BASH amp?

Compared to the PB12 Ultra, the new Plus has 3-4dB more output.

Compared to the PB13 with BASH amp, the new Plus is about 1.5-2dB behind.

The main problem, as always, is the cash. In order for me to be able to swing buying a used ultra, (which I'd have to get cause they can be had in the ballpark of $1000) I'd have to unload my 12+ which I could probably still get $500-$600 for. Which means I'd be getting an ultra with the 750 BASH. I could probably find either another BASH amp pc12+ or 20-39+ in the $400-$550 range. My current SVS has the 12.4 driver. I just want maximum depth/dollar ratio.
