The Outlaw is a ported box, the SB1000 a sealed box, but the SB1000 is also a 12" (it's the PB1000 that's a 10"). I think the Outlaw is a bit better especially at the sale price.

Check out the PB12 and SB12 on special from SVS. They're with free shipping and just a little more than the 2 you listed. I know the SB12 will have better output than the SB1000.

That's a good find. ^

I think both companies make very good subs but Outlaw doesn't ship for free so you will need to add in that cost on top of the sale price. Just something to keep in mind. :)

The SB1000 will have a lot less performance than the Outlaw Plus. The only alternative to the Outlaw I would be looking at is the PB12 NSD if they have any in the outlet section at SVS. The Reaction BPS 212 Turbo might be a worthy alternative as well.

I own the Outlaw EX (the larger version of the Plus) and the SB-1000. You definitely should go with the Plus. The SB-1000 is a great sub for a small room when one needs a sub of compact size. But the Plus will have significantly more maximum output and better low frequency extension for movie watching. And you'll find it to be a great upgrade over the BIC F12 smile.gif

I too saw a PB12 just the other day for $599 on the SVS website. Hell of a deal at that price considering it's clean output down to 20hz.
