I can get the SB1000 for $695 and the SB12NSD for $749. My question is which one of these is better for music? My room isn't that big (5x5x4) so no getting the SB2000. Is there any other sealed sub in this price range that I might also consider?

Availability of subs varies depending on where in the world one lives, and you have not told us that.  Assume not in the US since you posted room dimensions in meters.

Between the two, I'd go with the SB12-NSD.

That said...

5m x 5m x 4m = ~ 16' x 16' x 13' = ~3,328 cu.ft. That's a good-sized room. IMO, you should be considering at least one PB-2000 (or, if you can get one, a PB12-NSD).

I live in Australia so subs variety isn't that great. Also I'm not interested in the PB models as this will be used primary for music 95% / games 5%.

I would not get anything less than the SB2000.  Other than that it is up to your budget.

I'll be getting the SB12NSD soon. No point going SB2000 or PB as the sub will be less than a meter from me.

In that case, for nearfield usage, either would have been fine smile.gif
