Lightbulb SHAKERS...Did I buy the right thing?

SHAKERS...yes, this is the next frontier for my modest dedicated theater...

I just cancelled an order of 4 Aura Pro's and a 230 watt Dayton Amp...then I found a deal on 2 Buttkicker LFE shakers with the 1000 watt amp (barely used) for a measly $400 on Ebay...MY PRIMARY USE WILL BE MOVIES, and I liked the idea of the Buttkickers because of the lower frequencies (down to 10htz with the amp). Since my theater space is not that big(12x 23), I might just end up using one shaker, and sell the other one. I will try this out first; using only one.

BASICALLY....DID I DO THE RIGHT THING???

Yes IMO. The BK LFEs should be a lot more capable and they have a much better extension. If you have more than one seat, I would keep the second one or even install 2 on one seat. You won't gain much by having one amp dedicated to one transducer.

I use two buttkickers on my standard size couch and I LOVE THEM. I wish I had heard about them earlier than I did. ive had friends and family jump off couch or look around franticly thinking someone is kicking back of sofa, when they feel it for first time. of course they had no idea it was coming and I went to my go to scene in Hulk (street fight towards end)

I also like to think it helps my home theater more hearing impaired friendly
