Better deal than Polk DSW 440wi for $155

I'm able to get the Polk DSW 440wi sub for $155 new, and I was wondering if that can be beat. My room is about 12'x12x9, and I'll be using it with a Denon AVR-S500BT and Polk Tsx220B bookshelves. It will be 95% for music and the rest for gaming and movies. I listen to a mix of rap, EDM, rock, and classical music.

Thanks in advance!

That is a pretty good price imo. The dsw subs use a solid driver with good power. They are Over priced at retail, but 159.00 for the 440 is indeed a good deal. Enjoy.

Yeah if I was going to pay retail I'd end up with an HSU sub. I hear good things about those subs. I know it's wireless but idk if you need something else to set it up wirelessly.

Edit: Yeah I'd need to get the wireless kit.

While it's probably a decent sub for that price, it does have only an 8" driver. You'll get a lot more output with one of these

Can't say if it would be as good or better for music though.

Klipsch RF-62II, RC-500, RS-400, SVS PC12+,
Def Tech SC8000
Harman Kardon AVR 1600

I can't say I'll need more than an 8". I'm moving from a klipsch promedia's 2.1 set and a pair of M-Audio BX8-D2, which had no sub. Blending with the speakers and accuracy are much more important to me. Thanks!
