1 Klipsch SW-110 or 2 Dayton Audio sub-1500?

I currently have the single Klipsch subwoofer. I need more low end. I was thinking about selling the Klipsch and replace it with 2 Dayton Audio Sub-1500 subwoofers. How musical are the Daytons compared to the Klipsch? Specs wise, the Daytons go only a few hz lower than the Klipsch. My living room is 12 x 12, odd shaped.

So whats your budget? We might be able to provide better options if we have your budget?

The Klipsch SW110 is $500.

I'd rather see you with one SVS PB-1000/SB-1000 or Outlaw LFM-1 Plus for $500

Budget is under $500. I have considered those subs, but because I know I can achieve a better in room bass response by having two subs, I am reluctant on one sub when I can have two for the price.

I question the Dayton's performance with only 150watts going to it.
Even with doubling the surface area, wattage wise, you are still quite low on any sub, let alone a 15" driver.

I would try and up the budget a little if you are stuck on dual subs and look another route. But for a 12x12 room, not sure bass response will be an issue that 2 are "needed"
I would prefer 1 better sub for a smaller room, than two low end subs just to say I have two.

Yeah in a 12x12 room a single Outlaw LFM-1 Plus would be plenty, and its currently on sale for $499 shipped right now.

SVS PB-1000 for $500 is another subwoofer than is up to the task.

Also Reaction Audio BPS-212 is back in stock now for $500

I guess I am the weird one that believes for a budget of $500 you are better off in most situations with a single quality $500 subwoofer than dual cheapo budget subwoofers.
PM-Performance and dsrussell like this.

Thanks for mentioning Reaction Audio. I never heard of them until now. I've been reading the thread about them and it sounds promising. I might just pull the trigger on the BPS 215... Although it's a little over my budget I believe it'll be worth it.

You're in trouble, thisgsx. Big trouble. If your budget is THAT flexible SO soon, it will be very interesting to see what you end up with .
