My new subs finally got here - thanks UPS! :(

I was SO looking forward to getting these set up today. UPS had other plans :

Ironic that the HUGE gash in the container is directly beside "handle with care". The good news is that Brian from Rythmik had a new one to UPS and shipping within an hour of me contacting him, before I'd even had a chance to return this one. In addition although I haven't done any REW tests as of yet, the one that arrived unscathed sounds great. Still - UPS really grinds my gears, I needed to vent.

I've found that FedEx seems to be a bit easier on packages than OOPS.

Wow.....

My 15H's were delivered by some freight company. Not sure which major carrier they worked with but the subs were fine when they arrived. Was this shipment not double boxed?

I've had better luck with FedEx myself, but have had my run ins with them as well.

Sorry bro that's the worst feeling being super excited to get a new toy and it shows up looking like it's been in a bar fight. I'm glad Brian was able to get another one shipped out to you right away though.

Not exactly - the subs had adequate protection as far as foam goes, and probably would have survived had there been more padding where the amp resides, however it looks like someone took a boot to the side of it. It must have taken a serious impact, I'm thinking it fell off a skid onto an object or something like that. Enrico from Rythmik tells me they've only had about 2 issues in the last 600 with damage, that being said I'd look into double boxes / more foam if I were them. I'm sure they know what they're doing though

Yeah that's what I've heard from people as well. Fedex is slightly better - but not flawless. UPS completely lost a shipment of mine earlier this year which led to a long claim process back in January, so I'm sick of them at this point.

Yeah haha. It's a crappy surprise . I was pretty bummed out for sure. I called UPS to complain had to try pretty hard to keep it civil- I was pretty angry - but at the end of the day the person on the other end of the line had nothing to do with it. Brian was indeed great about it, told me not to worry and had a replacement shipping out within the day.
