yep, think so,many that have not already done so, will be dismayed, once they do measurements, by how much their room effects frequency response. I will go further and say even the best subwoofers cannot over come the rooms response unless they too include a measurement mic and DSP.

I don't drive like I used to so car audio is a waste of time and money now. That forum used to be so great when npdang ran it but went to poop after Ant bought it.

I agree. I learned a lot on that forum early on.

It doesn't perform the EQ anything near what an external EQ does. Audyssey EQ is basically setting level and phase. It's not adequate.

I think you are confusing a couple things or haven't researched Audyssey enough to know. Your previous comments were incorrect and so are these. SubEQ sets level and phase for multiple subs, that is it. I agree, having EQ in the name for it is a bad thing. But MultEQ, MultEQ XT and MultEQ XT32 all EQ the subwoofer. SubEQ is an add-on only available on some receivers already with XT32. A previous poster listed the versions and capabilities above. Search around and you will found how good of a job XT32 does.

Can you link information? I've always read/heard that audyssey doesn't sub EQ properly except on the XT32 SubEQ ones. My MultEQ XT didn't do anything for my sub response.

Someone already shared this but here it is again. Note the specifics on the subwoofer filter resolution.

You can read a bit about SubEQ here

https://audyssey.zendesk.com/entries...vs-MultEQ-XT32

I have had versions MultEQ, MultEQ XT and now XT32 and have seen corrections in the subwoofer in all versions. Obviously much better correction in XT32.

Just did a quick Google search to find an image as an example
