Subwoofer switcher

Do you guys know of any RCA switch box with 1 input and multiple outputs?

I've been trying to find online with no results.

I need this because the room have 4 subwoofers. I need them to work one at a time only.
My AV Receiver Sub out will be connected to the RCA switcher input and my 4 subwoofers will be connected to the outputs of the switch box. Thus, I can select which subwoofer will work.

Thanks.

A pre-amp would work, with record & listen switches

Here's an inexpensive audio/video switcher (you can ignore the connections you don't need):

I don't have any personal knowledge of this unit, and there are probably many other similar models.

Regards,
Eric

i need it the other way around. multiple outputs and single input.

the subwoofers will be connected to the outputs and the AV Receiver will be connected to the input.

Based on the product reviews, I was assuming that the RCA connections are just mechanical switches (no electronics), so that the input/output designation doesn't make any difference.

Basically something like this minus volume control, tone controls

I have one of those for switching a self powered computer

There is a small resistor, I think 1k, that is put in series with
your source.

Am I the only one curious as to WHY the OP doesn't want to run more than one sub at a time?

derrickdj1 08-15-2014 05:40 PM

That's what I was thinking. Why does he only want to run one at a time. The four subs should work as one unit in the system. For calibration, just turn off the other subs.

it will be actually a demo room.

Say it again, a used second hand stereo pre-amplifier will do. Granted it has pre-amp in the chain, but it will you to switch several stereo inputs and stereo outputs, so you could have several stereo subwoofers matching pairs
