Question Connecting Klipsch rsw-10d to yamaha rx-v775

Hello!

I am interested if someone has experience how to connect the Klipsch rsw-10d sub to a yamaha receiver? The "problem" is that I read that I need a seperate amp for the sub, becouse the sub has an active woofer and a passive one. Is this true or can I just connect the sub normaly to the sub out on the receiver?

Thank you

I'm willing to bet you didn't read that in the owner's manual (PDF).

From Wiki:

Passive radiators are used instead of a reflex port for much the same reasons—to tune the frequency response, particularly in small volume enclosures and when small diameter drivers are used, for better low frequency performance.

All you need to do - as Figure 5 in the owner's manual shows you - is connect:
- from your receiver's SUBWOOFER 1 PRE OUT output,
- to the L[eft] input on the sub.
