I have 2 reckhorn bs-200 bass shakers that are 100watt each so would the monacor sam-1 active subwoofer module 120w max 65w rms be good enough to run them.
sorry as I am new here I can not post links because my post count must be 5 or greater.
If you're going with a plate amp, I would consider one of the many from Parts Express. There are other places too. I would look for an amp that puts out a minimum RMS of the shakers power handling.
thanks for the info but as i live in the united kingdom can not get the dayton and the Berhinger cost more than I want to spend. so what about the monacor sam-200d class d active suvwoofer module 280w max 200w rms at 4ohm.
Well, the short answer is, you can get any amplifier you want. Know that not providing enoguh overhead will lead to the shakers not producing the desired effect. Depending on the shaker design, they may even distort since a certain amount of power is needed to maintain control of the driver/actuator. If you can't get the power you need, just save a bit more.
well i have decided to spend more and get the Reckhorn A-408 Amplifier which is the correct one for the bass shakers. as they are made by the same company.
HOW was you experince with reckhorn amp and bassshakers?
