Help buying new sub

I want to change my 8'' sub (paradigm cinema) for a new one.
I have the next alternatives for the same money (aprox): Boston vps210, Paradigm pdr-100 and klipsch rw-10d. Which one do you think is the best?

Regards,

You could simply post the budget rather than making us search for the price of the subs you mentioned Makes helping you a lot easier

Yup, a budget would help. Also, the size of the room (l x w x h; sealed, or open to other spaces) your system is in.

According to the Paradigm website, the Cinema sub is a 100W RMS / 300W dynamic unit. IMO, keep using it and save up until you can get to something significantly better, such as:
- SVS PB-1000
- Rythmik LV12R

Another option is to try to get a Premier Acoustic PA-150 for ~$350.

In my country prices are too high and we don´t have too many options, thats why i suggest three.
Boston and paradigm are around 650 and klipsch 850.

The room is 16x16 fts

Another optons:
Klipsch – SW -110 650
Mirage – MM8 560
Paradigm utracube 10 - 1200

What country are you in? What currency are those prices in? Is 1200 (of that currency) your budget maximum?

I´m talking in US Dollars, and 1200 is a little more than expected. But if the difference is big... i can make an effort. 850 is more acceptable for me.

What country are you in? It's possible that an American ID (Internet-direct) vendor - such as SVS - may be able to ship to you while keeping within your budget, or may have a distributor in your area.

Out of the 3 subs you've mentioned, the Klipsch holds the most value. They run approximately $400 here in the U.S. Obviously, if it costs you a ridiculous sum of money for a $500 U.S. SVS PB-1000, just get the Klipsch. It looks like a capable subwoofer for a small room, but should do pretty well in your 2,000 plus cu.ft. room. That Paradigm runs around $900 in the U.S. and is NOT a good value here.

Music area: Magnepan 3.6, McIntosh MC2205 & C48, SVS SB13-Ultra, Oppo BDP 95 and assorted equipment.
Movie area: EMP Tek R5Bi, PSA XS30, Denon X2000, Oppo BDP 83.

Being 3 times the cost of the Klipsch, it certainly won't have 3 times the performance. Again, value for the dollar should be a consideration. The $800 U.S. SVS PB-2000 would probably best the Boston. And in the U.S. $1700 will get you subwoofers from several I.D. companies that would bring the house down, and keep a few hundred bucks in your pocket.

Thank you, but i´m not in USA, here i can get the vps for the same price than the klipsch. So the question is, for the same price: which one is the best?

Then it would be the VPS, hands down. But I thought you indicated it would cost you 1700 and not the 650. Anyway, don't hesitate at 650.

Sorry, my English is not good
I found vps210 at 1700 in amazon. Here it is cost 650 (who knows why) ...
The cost in amazon make me think that vps should be better option than the others, for the same price.

Your English is very good! From the specs and reviews, I'd say it is a very good choice. And since you can get it at the same price as the Klipsch, then you've found an excellent deal. While it only has a 10-inch driver, it also has a 10-inch passive radiator. It is only down 3 dB at 22 Hz and comes with a capable amplifier. And hey, it's unique looking. Not the standard rectangle. Here is a review of the system which includes this sub: http://www.soundandvision.com/conten...speaker-system

Have you ever considered DIY or buy a kit, driver and plate amp combo and have someone build a box for you...
I reckon some subdrivers for cars would be available and plate amplifiers or regular power amps would be available in your country

Why do you want to upgrade? That sub looks awesome. I have a Velodyne Mini Vee 8'' sub. I like small subs.
