Is there such thing as subwoofer repair?

I have an Alon Thunderbolt which I really, really like... With the help of an AVS member I've figured out that (most likely) the plate amp has gone out.

Please,

A) is it WORTH fixing? I like to think so...
B) where would I go? I've called local places and they won't touch it
C) remember it's h e a v y

Thanks a million....

Kevin

Yes -- certainly.

Contact AVS member "daveds50" -- he repaired an amp for me some time back. Cost me about $80 including shipping.

Do a search for his handle -- you can see that he is active on this board. He was real active in fixing Elemental Design's subs and amps, and participates in that discussion thread frequently.
