See http://www.hometheatermag.com/loudsp...74/index2.html for the Revel B15.

Not to take anything away from NHT: that is certainly impressive performance for a $1400 subwoofer.

Maybe they changed something as I just replaced dual NHT's (very large ones with like 150 watt amps each for an SVS PB2+. No comparison.. the SVS ate them up. I would like to try a shoot out between them though as I did enjoy my NHT's when I had them but they were just not enough for a 14X25 room.

mrl, the above nht plot is an example of an extremely accurate (ruler flat) frequency response - i have never seen anything like that b4. even the revel b15 plot above is not as flat or impressive as the nht's. u r talking about spl when u say the nht is not comparable to svs pb2+. do u still have the nht u2 sub? i would like to hear your comparsion between the two's when they are critically evaluated for accuracy, musicality and enjoyability, etc.

Billie:

MRl never had a U2 sub. Based on his post, he's talking about an older NHT design, probably ported which is their lower end line.

I'd guess sub 2 by his description.
As for bass output, I've heard the T6 setup, that produces more bass than someone may ever need. 4 - 12 inch subs...
