Hello all - I am looking for a quick subwoofer reccomendation. Recently, with the move of all my HT gear to its own dedicated space, our living room is left devoid of a stereo - thus no good way to play (decent sounding) music. The HT is in the next room over, but playing music in there loudly to hear it in the other room just doesn't cut it. My wife was a bit bummed - the lack of Christmas music in the background is there now! :)

To remedy the situation on Christmas morning - I just ordered an Onkyo CS210(spec link below) bookshelf system - it has a subwofer output for a powered sub. I just want something small that will help fill the low end that is inexpensive too. I looked on eBay but am unsure if anything there is worth it or if there is better for the price ($100 max) The Onkyo system is small and has good reviews so it should be great!

I also routed some RCA outs through the baseboard from the HT - so I can hook up the zone 2 of the HT receiver to the Onkyo - also plan on hooking up my Airport express to it for continual tunes! :)

Thanks in advace for the suggestions!

Have one ordered, should be delivered this week. I will post my results with my 5.1 family room el-cheapo system as soon as I can...

If you can't wait, buy it. For 98 bucks you can't go wrong!

One wall complete, lots to do...on my Home theater

I would be interested to hear your experience. I guess my only real worry is getting something too large and overpowering the small bookshelf speakers.
