I think I need to upgrade my sub, and I have a Sony HTiB. The system itself is good for me right now, however the sub might need to go. My wife bought this for me 2 years ago back before we were married and I still lived with my mother. The system really kicked ass in my bedroom, but now we own our own house. The room it's in is MUCH bigger (living room is open to the kitchen, and wood floors.) I leave the volume around the 42 mark (out of 70 I think). Since I have a larger room I need the volume to go higher now, but I don't think the sub can handle it. Here is my current setup:

My questions is, can I hook another powered sub to that receiver and get better performance? I know the receiver needs updating but I can't do that right now. I'm working on upgrade to a 55" TV right now so I'll be pretty broke shortly. One sub I looked at was (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Lti8H0Y...0&I=158SAWX700) this one. Has anyone had experience with this sub?

I've not heard it but the specs look good.

Also look at the Dayton subs at www.partsexpress.com

No matter where you go. ... There you are.

Dayton 10" from Parts express. I just received mine and impressed. Its a long throw 10" with a well damped driver. Plays tight and accurate with my limited play. Can't go wrong...

One wall complete, lots to do...on my Home theater
