Hi, I'm a velodyne DPS-12 user and I am very happy with the bass this unit outputs (I only use it for movies). However, the lack of a visible volume reading is driving me crazy (I think my wife is changing it when I'm not looking just to drive me crazy). I'm thinking of purchasing the Yamaha YST-SW1500, does anyone have any experience with this sub. I'm guessing it isn't the most musical sub, but does it provide a good low end punch for movies? According to Yamaha it goes all the way down to 16hz, that seems to be pretty impressive. Well any info you can provide me is helpful. I need a sub with a front panel volume control.

Making the most out of what I got.

I don't know much about Yammy subs but I like their receivers.

But, if you really want a good sub for about $300. Check out ebay for a Infinity IL120s 500 watt 12 sub I am selling. It shakes my whole 2,000 cubic foot room with a concrete floor.

New, it was $900 but now you can get them for about $300 on ebay :D

God loves me, but everyone else thinks I'm an a$$hole.

Thanks for the alternative option, but I'm looking in the $500-$700 price range. I need something that goes pretty low, I'm talking about 20HZ and has easy access volume controls. Are there any YST-SW1500 users??
