I just know they do this warranty bad trick with Klipsch open boxes speaker and OneCall repre told me they put on Ebay manufactured info even if they are not correct, maybe I just had a bad person on phone but warranty is really not covered on open boxes Klipsch speakers from OneCall but they are covered from any other authorized Klipsch dealers, I'm sure OneCall do well with other staff. Maybe that OneCall SVS connection works great I just don't know. I bought mine 2 subs from SVS and I'm very happy about all around SVS. Some folks here use OneCall and they are also pleased so find out more about 45 days free shipping both ways and 1 year trade up and make your decition. Let us know what Onecall told you tomorrow, thanks and good luck.

Well I try to get from them RB-81II and they said no warranty on open boxes from klipsch. Maybe it was their mistake and maybe it is covered but I'm just saying what I experiance I had with them. I really dont know, how do you know you have a warranty on it? Maybe your was never registered from previous owned and maybe RB-81II are I'm just guessing.

Many times we talked about OneCall how they do and if they cover warranty or not, so I contacted them last night and here is results:

Klipsch open boxes speakers and SVS subwoofers. Results are NO warranty on Klipsch open boxes speakers and there is 45 days free return shipping on SVS subs but there is NO 1 year trade up offer!!!!

Well I would say Congrat's on the new sub, but you have not ordered it yet! All kidding aside Congrat's and I hope it is all you want for a few years.

I have about 6 months left to decide if I'd like to upgrade or get another for duals. The upgrade bug seems to travel around the world.

I have the SVS PB-2000. Yes this can become expensive chasing that sound that puts a smile on your face. I was going to spend less then I did with the thought anything was better then the passive 8" sub I had already. I learned if I spent a little more there would be a better set of subs to choose from also ID subs give better output per money spent. I'm a big movie fan so I'm glad I spent more as it sounds and feels good to me.

I'm trying to avoid the upgrade bug, but until the year is up those little voices in my head will keep saying dual PB's or one SB13 ultra with the smaller footprint would be Sweat!!

I was wondering if I can get some advice on a PB13 ULTRA that just came in a few days ago. Gear- UMC 200, XPA-3, REVEL F208, REVEL C206. I got it hooked up and ran the EMO-Q. It set my crossovers to large and set the sub crossover to 200. It sounded ok. I called SVS to get the correct setting- front l/r 50hz, center to 8hz and the ULTRA TO 120. I feel like I'm missing something. It's like sub is barely working. My wife asked me why I paid that much for so little effect. I'm wondering if my speakers are powerful enough to where the Sub doesn't have to do anything? Or maybe change something or turn the sub up from the back? Any ideas?

That sub should be knocking pictures of the walls. It's a setting issue. Front L/R 50Hz is good, Center at 80Hz is good, sub at 120Hz??? Try speakers to small and sub at 80Hz.

Life without bass is not worth living.

I will give it a shot. Thank you as I only have a few weeks to make a decision. Does setting it at 80hz mean that it'll pick up more and make a noticeable difference? Also the setting I the back of the sub. Do I keep that at -7?

Setting the speakers and sub at 80Hz is the THX standard and a good starting point when running a room correction. You want the sub to be non-localized, meaning you can't audibly locate it. Your sub was built to handle the lower frequencies, your speakers not so much. Then try running EMO-Q again and see what it tells you.

Life without bass is not worth living.

Once the wait is over and it's set up would like to hear your take on how it all sounds. Although I know it may be hard to pull yourself away!

Hi guys. I haven't posted here for months because, it turns out, I have way much time for that when I'm at work than when I'm at home taking care of a baby. Now my parental leave is over so I may have time to follow this thread again

So... what's up since last spring? I see SVS now sells the SB-2000 in piano black finish -- that's awesome. Did I miss anything else?

SVS is buying TC Sounds. Should have a new Ultra line out with dual opposed sealed 15" and 2.4kw Ice/Sledge amp and iPhone app for tuning DSP. Also a ported 18" but don't know which amp yet. Expect more after Cedia.

Nah, just joshing ya. The new finish on the SB2000 is it. Hopefully we will see another new product Q1 2015 if they continue the trend from the last two years. The Ultra and Plus lines are getting long in the tooth.

Welcome back.

Great wishlist here Snow but a dual-TC-equipped Ultra with a 2.4 kW amp would probably cost an arm and a leg

As for the Plus and Ultra lines getting long in the tooth... ...but but ... I barely used mine yet You're right though, they've been on the market as is (with the Sledge amps) since what, 2011? Late 2010? Yet before the line is upgraded I expect a reasonable price drop to clear inventory...

They sell these rubber feet now that decouple the sub from floor. Those are kinda new, right? Well they didn't have them when I got my SVS sub last summer. Thinking about getting them but mine seems to be ok on a thick rubber doormat. The feet look a lot nicer though and make it easier to get hands under to pick sub up.

Oh I only took 13 weeks off

I don't have any vibration problems with my cylinders but had some with my SB12, which was placed close to a metal vent intake. Also a friend had a PC12 literally buzz on the floor at high volume. In both cases, an acoustical rubber mat fixed the issue; those are meant to be placed under hardwood flooring for example. I'm pretty sure that SVS's rubber feet do an (at least) equally good job and are much prettier, but it's hard to beat the performance/price ratio of those rubber mats.

I set the crossovers to 80hz on the pb13. Did the test where you shut it off and see what you're missing. My wife said there is no difference. So I played some kind of hip hop and it made itself very present. This kind of concerns me because it doesn't show up until I make it show up with extreme content. I'm wondering if something smaller and cheaper or maybe dual may be the way to go?

First of all can you tell us a little about your gear? AVR? Speakers? Room size? Where is the sub located in your setup? What kind of floors is the sub resting on such as hardwood, carpeted, cement floor like in a basement? How is the sub setup? Low and high pass filters off? What kind of room calibration are you using? Telling us more might help us figure out what might be wrong or maybe the sub is defective all together? That sub should be shaking things up quite nicely. Wait I just scrolled up and read your gear. My bad.

I'm running Emotiva UMC 200 AND XPA 3, REVEL F208s and REVEL C206. SVS PB13 ULTRA. I'm about 13 feet away from the F208s and about 15 feet from the Ultra. The room at minimum is all open to dinning room an kitchen but my listening area is about 17ft ×18ft. I had a Martin Logan 10 inch sub a while back that seemed to be effective. I know this thing can rock. I'm just trying to sync it up to get that wow factor. I have the F208s crossed over at 50hz, the center at 80hz and the sub at 80hz now. Will the sub be more effective at a higher or lower hz? I talked to SVS about turning the sub gain up from -7. They said to try to use the UMC first. Are the F208s supposed to be at 80hz too? The settings that SVS gave me are the same as what they are set at but they said their numbers associated with the F208s is to set the sub at 120hz. Thanx as I'm limited on time to decide to keep it.

Well you have some very nice speakers. I would still xo everything at 80. Let the sub do the heavy lifting. Disable the low pass and high pass filters on the sub. XO the sub on the UMC to 120hz. Try raising the gain to 0. I know thats maxed out but your room is 2500 cu ft plus its open to other rooms. I'm not familiar with the UMC's calibration setup. Do you have an SPL meter. Can you try running some test tones by just using the sub and measure your db's from lets say 4-6 ft away from it?

Hi all.. I have been enjoying my PB-1000 on the music only system in my sig... I noticed now a few times that when I am playing music very loud and the sub is pumping that I hear a rattle coming from the sub, like the port tubing is rattling inside of the enclosure... It's not shuffing, it's a rattle. I can hear it over the bass very easily.. my cat even heard it, he was on the couch with me and when the next CD came on with more bass and the rattle started he jumped down and started encroaching the sub in an inquisitive stalking manner. It seems to be getting worse now - happening at lower volumes. I guess it's time to contact SVS. I saw a thread from someone who was experiencing the same auditory anomaly on their pb-1000 but there was no resolution at the end of the thread. Anyone here have this issue? I know that port tubing is fairly long inside of the enclosure and takes a good bend.. I am guessing it's just a little loose or something?

Maybe the -7 you're talking about is the gain on the subwoofer, but I'm not sure. Have you adjusted the gain on both your receiver and Ultra?

If your room is just GIANT like a football stadium, you're not going to hear much regardless of the gain settings, but when I got my first SVS I was very disappointed at first until I found the gain settings.
