And the hum is gone. Not sure where it came from. When replacing my Marantz SR7008 with a new Anthem AVM60, i went from RCA interconnects to balanced line inputs. Made an effort to cleanup all the wiring while i was in there. Turn on system and its gone! Love it! Thanks for everyones help.

In my system a simple exchange of RCA to balanced lines to my subs made the difference. Glad yours worked out well.

Why do all of my threads suck? Is there an internet posting school somewhere? -wes k

I run an XLR to RCA adapter and I had a wonderful hum when I first bought mine a few years back. Spoke to Mark on the phone at that time. Had me cut one of the 3 connections on the XLR adapter and voila hum gone. I'm suspecting it's the ground but I don't recall at the moment.

The only time it'll hum now is when I'm playing with the back of the AVR and I happen to remove the HDMI output to my projector. At that point I get a nice low line hum that won't stop unless I unplug the sub or re-connect the HDMI output.

We are catching up quickly with another 24 black maple F18 cabinets that arrived Friday. We have a few rosenut and black oak F18s in stock now, and have 4-6 black maple units from the 24 that aren't yet sold. Between F18s, SubMersives and MFW-Turbo-SS units, we are at about 30 subwoofers to deliver, but most all should be cleared through by the middle of next week (~10/26). After that time we will finally be caught up on amplifiers with some inventory on hand. I intend to keep lead times short to reasonable through the end of the year, but you are welcome to challenge me with a flood of orders.

Mark -- hate to cross-post, but this thread seems to get a little more activity than the Cat thread. Can you please take a moment out of your assuredly busy day to respond to my post here? PM would be fine if you'd prefer; thanks!

Just picked up F18's.

Looking forward to integrating these with the F2's and finally using REW and Umik to fine tune things. For those wondering, do not bring an SUV (even with folding seats) to pick up 4 of these...we had to unbox the 4th and get creative on safely packing....Thanks so much for helping Mark!

The subs are about 6 inches off the wall, should I pull them out to 1 ft?

Everyone is telling me that the 60" tv is too tiny now with the big subs, I guess I should go buy a 85" 4K.

looks like a decent wall to mount a projector screen, in which even 75" is tiny in comparison.

Just throwing in a good plug for F18. I currently only have two master F18 and one slave.

My old HT room was kind of a 'L' shape, hence why I got the odd number of THREE subs. New house HT room is a big rectangle, good dimensions for HT equipment.

I was worried that three subs might be an issue - but no problems at all. Hell, I'd almost recommend three locations for subs now. I simply put one F18 master behind couch/MLP in middle of room. And then I put the other two on each side of Right and Left front speakers. So I literally put the three subs where they looked the best. I ran room correction (Dirac Live/ddrc-88a) - and blam - PERFECT frequency response without sub crawl or anything. I think they are just such beasts, and play so well together, that they just don't give a **** about room modes.

So anyway, I'm pretty stoked. Plus I have two masters already, so I see five more slaves in my future!

Why doesn't Seaton Sound have a website with up to date product offerings. This suffing out product details on message boards is ridiculous.

His website is more up to date now than it has been in years. (It still has a invite to visit his room CANJAM Oct. 7-9)

Earlier on his forum I mentioned that there was an invite to visit his down website on a Axpona poster and put a
link to posts on his forum from a couple of years earlier complaining about his website. My post was deleted
along with the former thread.

There is content in process and progress is being made in between other necessary tasks. Yes, it is silly all info desired isn't on the website to easily browse. Until the website has our products up in full detail there's not much I can say beyond the website is now a top priority behind orders already paid for and products very near production. No excuse I could spin changes that it needs to be finished and isn't yet. No doubt many pass us by as a result. We continue shipping out orders every day with more than a few products available to ship within days of ordering.

Thanks for your time responding, Mark. If you need web help, I know a guy who's really good, and who's also into the hobby.

Hi DaveyMac,

Great to hear the F18s are performing as you had hoped in the new room. Getting to and past 4 F18s in a room really does take things to another level. Was just back in the Star Wars theater this weekend, and the 8x F18s in even that massive 20 x 30 x 12 foot room they make for a hair-raising experience (literally hair-shaking ).

We're here with more at the ready when you are. In fact we will have plenty of black maple cabinets along with a few black oak and rosenut cabinets at the ready by Monday.
