I'd like to save that for a bit. They definitely seem to have more midbass power with structural (chairs, floor etc) movement being significantly greater. I know they extend much lower if you look at the graphs but how this translates into what it does for films I still would like more experience.

I liked my SVS subs so I'd want to have enough experience that I can be as objective as these sorts of things allow. I have at least half a dozen other clips I want to listen to.

Are you going to use the +/2s as stocking stuffers for some of your closest friends?

I was fortunate that I have one of the HEMI group guys who is building a theater as we speak. I sold all of them to him.

Yes I would have never watched it had it not been a demo in the stuff Kevin Collins showed but after, I believe if you are showing what LFE in movies can be, you need to have it.

Congrats Mark! Haven't had much time lately and haven't hung out in the sub forum for a while until one of my customers asked me about your sub.

Glad it's all going well for you. Best wishes.

Sorry it took me so long to post to the thread I've been busy with work. For anyone wondering about Mark's design, I'll let you know it's sonicly insane when you put 4 of them together . After Art's last meet I had a smile on my face for hours, now that was a wall of sound if I have ever heard one.

One of my friends / co-workers used to work for iMax, so I've been in a theater or two where they cranked the 10 18's up. It was pretty amazing however Marks design with less speakers and power comes pretty dam close to matching that wall of sound.

Anyone that has thought about buying one of his boxes, as neck act now I think your going to find Mark will be up to his neck in orders as more and more people hear them.

Don, it is interesting you mention IMAX. That is the kind of slam I am hoping to get close to. I think I will be pretty close with just one in my room. I am sooooooo excited .

You see it's posts like this that make me nervous . I mean we have all heard stories of sub X broke my windows or sub Y cracked my foundation, but these stories I believe.

I think that you must accept that if you are generating that kind of SPLs through a range of 100 Hz down to 10Hz or even lower that you are going to unmask rattle issues that you didn't have before. I added more weather stripping before the get together on Saturday which helped a lot.

I looked over at Mark right after that Tokyo Drift demo and his already trademark grin was almost as big as the sound in the room. He just laughed and said "I think we did it".What an understatement.

What is the going rate on this sub right now? Any different finishes available, dimensions, etc?

The size is as follows
W17.5" x 24"(with grills) x 24.75" (plus 3/4" tall feet). I am pretty sure that is accurate. The height may be off by an inch. It weighs 110lbs. MSRP is $2000. I think Mark is working on other finishes but I am not sure where they stand right now.

I know Randy. I have seen the same thing. I guess we will just have to wait until he really has time to answer them all. I think he is very busy right now. With all of the interest with his sub, plus the stuff he is doing at AV123 plus getting ready to go out to CES he may be a bit swamped. I have a feeling that after CES he will be able to reply a bit quicker.

I am sure he is-not a big deal, but just wanted to make sure it wasn't me (I checked under my arms to make sure the deodorant was working )

Hi Guys,

Thank you for all of the interest. I will have another small batch of subs available in January, and then stock will catch up mid-late February I won't be able to firm up dates for availability in February until after the new year.

I plan to work through the PM and e-mail inquiries this weekend and early next week inbetween holiday obligations. Thank you for your patience.

Best Regards,
