What are the pros/cons of each?Which one of these subs would you reccomend for a room that is 20 x 15?? Is one that much better than the other? I will be listening to about 50% music vs. 50% home theater. Thanks in advance!

The two look identical as they use the same cabinet and identical driver. Stf has a smidgen bigger amp that you will likely not be able to tell the difference, and MK#3 has tunability, or can play a lower octave (max extension) with less distortion. I imagine most people will run their sub on max output meaning the two are identical.

Actually I think the majority of people, including me, run their VTFs in max extension mode. (I have a VTF-3 Mk2, not a VTF-2) For the 10" in a big room, I might run max output if I felt it was lacking with max extension. But if I felt it was lacking that much, I'd move up to 12" HSU. My room is pretty big and max extension on my VTF-3 Mk2 is plenty.
