I have had good customer service before but never to this degree.
I have another post about the amp in my sub going out and that led me to a ton of research and me deciding to give HSU Research a try.
Last Friday I call to ask if they could possibly stay a little later as I have a very long commute and Friday traffic is especially busy. They agreed without issue so I tried my best to get there as quick as I could. I did call to let them know that I'd need an additional 15-20 min and they said no problem and for me to drive safely.
When I arrived I never felt rushed and they were very helpfull even though it was 1.5 hours after their close.
I got the VTF-2 MK4 home and proceeded to swap them out. Well the new sub had no lit LED and at first I wasn't sure it even had an LED (misplaced my glasses, lol). I verified my connections many times then posted here for assistance. Shortly afterward Dr Hsu PM's me and asks me to call him. I do and he says that if the amp is dead he could meet me at the store and he'll take of it. This is Sunday afternoon mind you. I'm absolutely blown away by the offer.
I carefully get the sub to the garage in preparation to get it into the back of the truck and now using my glasses I notice that the voltage switch was set at 240v. So I reinstall it and it works (sort of) and I quickly call him back to let him know. His next response blew me away a second time. He's local so he offered to stop by to help set it up and to assist in figuring out why I wasn't getting a signal to it even though the LED is now lit.
So when he arrives he gets straight to it and we determine that is was getting a signal and was performing well. For some reason my Oppo BDP83 didn't always pass it though (but due to the Monoprice HDMI switch. I connected it directly to the receiver and it's now working fine) so that's a different matter. When it was behaving he ran his demo CD through it's paces and all went well.
Dr Hsu is the real deal, a very nice guy that does indeed enjoy what he does.
Dr Hsu, I am very grateful to you and thank you so very much for going out of your way.
Of course after playing around with the sub all night I'm thinking that the VFT-3 is what I should have purchased
