Hi Coop7199

I really like the HSU VTF-3.3. If you do not mind the look of the Turbo, the extra $100 will buy you a lot of additional head room. Headroom is important for a large space like yours. I have a pair of HSU VTF-3HO's plus Turbos, and they are more than I need. People go away shaking their heads after they hear my subs when I crank them up.

All the Best

Hello,
Have you read this review of the ED A5 300 ?
http://www.hometheatersound.com/equ...signs_a5300.htm
It looks positive but no way to compare with Hsu VTF 2 - MK3 and SVS PB12 NSD.
the music quality is for me far more important than boom power.
Any comment would be welcome.
Thanks

its really hard to extrapolate anything from that review besides the A5-300 is better than the Aperion S10. Like you said it would be hard to compare the eD to the hsu and svs since it is relatively new. If the A2-300 is any indicator to the quality that eD produces subs then the A5 won't be a slouch at all.

I just found this on ebay item# 290141198355, looks like a good deal $350 shipped. What do you guys think? Just search for 290141198355 and it comes up. Says they have more available. Yay or nay?

I'm revisiting this thread again. I need help deciding too! Looking to spend $350-700 (max)

I'm debating between the following:

1) HSU VTF-2 MK 3
2) HSU VTF-3 MK 3
3) SVS PB12-NSD
4) SVS SB12-Plus
5) ED A3-300
6) ED A2-300

My room size is small-medium. I'll be moving in a year so I dont' know what room it'll be in in the future.

I'm hoping to find a good balance between MUSIC and MOVIES. I like to listen to good, CLEAN bass while listening to music. I'm sure all of these would be good for movies.

Thoughts?

i was looking at the same subs too along with the outlaw ones. i went past my budget though as most would do and bought the Epik Sentinel for it's size for my living room. Not sure what it compares to for the new subs that are out there.

Pioneer Elite SC-05
JBL Studio S310 fronts, JBL Studio S26II's mid and S36's rear.
Epik Sentinel subwoofer

Let me know how it sounds w/ music and movies. I'm curious as to how "tight" it is.

I was looking seriously at the Hsu VTF 2. The 3 was more than I wanted to spend. I wound up with the Outlaw LFM Plus when they had a Super Bowl sale. What a wonderful Sub. I have no regrets.

wow...another Coop...3.3 will work fine that size room if its an enclosed area...as well as the svs 12...Both very similar. I had one 3.3 in a 2600sqft room and was enough...I have since added another one and now its awsome, but one will do the job...I would think the 12 would do the same. The only thing I do not like in the hsu is the side firing for cosmetic reasons.
