hey KBMAN, how come you're selling the Tower? Moved on to better things? Too much sub? Too big? Just curious.

The Tower has a larger enclosure and gives it about 3db more output below 20hz as compared to the Castle.

lol. My bad. I thought your comment about your Tower pic was related to the previous posts about Audiogon.com. I was just about to make an offer.

Not to be stingy, but if I WERE to sell my Tower, it would be at retail price....this is just TOO good of a sub that's basically brand new, and the fact that you can't get one right now. What would your price be if you sold it knowing it's in high demand?

I would ask for retail or maybe $100 more...supply vs demand. On the other hand I would only pay retail for a very slightly used one. And it better be in mint condition or I would hunt the seller down and put his pet rabbit on the stove.

I'd be overzealous and try sell mine for the amt I paid for the sub + shipping from Epik to me + shipping from me to the buyer. No loss on my side. ~ $1600

If anyone in the Puget Sound WA area was feeling REAL desperate, I might part with my Tower for the right cha-ching.

But the offer would have to knock me over..

Yeah, I dunno.. perhaps something a little smaller.

Looks like Chad hasn't been wasting his downtime. If you click on the Product Index tag on the new order page, you can see the names and prices of some apparently forthcoming new Epik subs -- the Dragon, Dynasty, Sentinel, Phoenix, and Vanquish. No other details, but I'm guessing these are the sealed equivalents of the current ported range?

Somebody's been playing too much Dungeons n Dragons. Holy crap. The page says their taking orders for those new subs. I wonder if these a updated versions of the previous line. None of the new subs there exceed the price of the Conquest.

Well I don't see those models listed anymore. You may have been privy to some information he didn't intend for the general public to see yet Hopstretch. I am guessing he's revamped his lineup. Maybe he was unable to secure the parts of the older line for one reason or another?

Either way the new store looks good. I see that the economy is definitely affecting Epik as the Conquest is now "Shipping within 3 days". That's never happened before to my knowledge even since day 1.

The next speaker of any kind I buy will likely be from Mark Seaton or maybe an infinite baffle DIY project. I love my Epik, but know you can get more for your money in a couple of other places. A very few places mind you, but it can be done.

I have Epik Castle and I am thinking of selling it. Do you guys know the fair price/value for 4 months old, perfect condition, less than 150 hours of use, have the original box & the accessories?
I am thinking of selling it since I can't really enjoy the sub because I have 1 year old baby . Thanks.

Where can you view his subs? Are you talking about the subs on av123?

I would sell it for what you paid for it considering they are not in production right now. I'm sure someone is looking for one.

When you said you would sell it for what I paid, is that for the price of the sub alone ($999) or $1149 ($999 + shipping which is $150) ?

Indeed. The Terraform, Terraform XL, and Submersive all look like extremely impressive offerings.

Sell it for what you can get. Considering the next closets performer to it on the market that I'm aware of would be the SVS PB13 Ultra at $1599 you can probably get what you paid including shipping if you found the buyer.

I read that the Terraform and Teraform XL are NOT for people with placement limitations which I have. I only have 2 open spots to put 2 subs in. In any case, what does he offer that is around $1100?

Well these designs use passive radiators so you would ideally not want it inside a cabinet or something. You don't want the PR or driver firing into something that isn't solid.

Regarding what he offers at $1,100 I have no idea. You would need to ask the man himself. He sells via word of mouth and his forums. The last time I checked Submersive's went for $1,995. I'm not sure I ever stated anything about a Seaton subwoofer at an $1,100 price point though, unless you were just asking because that is your budget for a new/secondary sub?
