Very nice! Please play something loud and tell us how it sounds.

PS: What are your main speakers, if I may reveal my ignorance?

Thanks for the pics Galdiator. Any plans on running an REW for the sub/room? The response would be interesting.

You'll rarely hear anyone say, "I wish I'd gotten less Sub."

The speakers are SP Technology Continuums 2.5 MK IIIs. Waveguided tweeter crossed over at 700 Hz. Super impressive speakers that have displaced some heavy hitters in my room. Amps are Theta Citadel 1.5s. Music source is a Transporter feeding a Theta Gen VIII Series 2 DAC. I only use the Onkyo 906 for decoding and powering the surround and surround back speakers.

No doubt i will. I plan on using pipe organ music after I setup and tweak. Toccata and Fugue to be precise. Followed by Kanye West, which has some incredible bass. After that ill listen to a few random cds and then Ill throw in a few of my favorite blurays. Dark Knight Hospital Scene was the reason I decided to upgrade my sub in the first place. The bass hit and I heard my sub say "No Brian, not today" Ill post my impressions after I get it setup.

My Dragons arrived very late Monday afternoon. I was waiting for FedEx all day to sign for delivery. They usually deliver before 10:00 am. I didn't have time to unpack them until now. 2:00 am Tuesday.

The subwoofers were sandwiched between 4 sections of molded foam. The packaging was just adequte. The cartons corners could use some reinforcement.

They are built very solid. The cabinets finish and grills match my Conquests.

I still need to connect and calibrate them. I move a little slower than most as I am operating alone from a wheelchair.

Would two Dragons go down as low as one Phoenix, compared at high output?

Multiple subs do not help extension.

Thanks for the compliments.

I tested the Dragons in the system. I did not move the Velodynes. I will have to do a better comparison test when I can place them in the exact same spot. I was only able to listen to them for a short time.

My room is 2538 cf. sealed

I corrected the pair with an 8033B and then calibrated the entire system with Audyssey in my Integra DHC-9.9 using 8 microphone positions.

I listen to movie material at -5 below reference. I watched a few scenes from Blu-ray Iron Man and then put in Kung Fu Panda. After watching a few scenes I put the player into a Skidoosh A/B loop. I shut off the main channels amp and my tactile transducers. I walked up right next to each subwoofer and listened. I raised the volume 1 db at a time until I reached reference level. I could not hear any distress from either sub. They were not as happy playing WOTW pod emerging at reference. They didn't have a problem at my normal -5 listening level. They sounded very nice for the little time I was able to try them.
