I am sure voiding the warranty would be over driving the sub to make it bottom no matter what is used to do it(if damage occurred). I have a feeling using audyssey is taken out of context. Audyssey does boost the low end to make it flat so one has to be careful. People can't expect to buy a sub, run it over it's capabilities and then say it is under warranty. There are many who buy 12 inch subs and think it should be enough to do what they want and then blow it up and think they did nothing wrong. You can blow up any sub or trip any limiters if in place. It happens all the time. The SVS subs I had compressed before the limiters would kick in. The sub was stated to hit 124 dbs in a corner but it compressed at 120 dbs in a corner and hit 110 dBs at my LP. I did not get mad at SVS for false advertising I just knew it has limits just like every other sub, and this was their dual 12 inch 900 watt sub. I think we just have too high of expectations sometimes and get dissappointed. There have been bad issues with every sub manufacturer.
