I asked this over in the DIY forum, but adding veneer to a sub that hasn't been assembled is a bit different than adding veneer to an already completed, sub so I thought I'd ask here.

Anyway, has anyone ordered an unfinished sub from eD and added a veneer to it? What I'm most concerned with is how you went about the bottom and back of the sub. Did you just cut out holes for the woofer, ports, and amp and lay the veneer down, or did you remove those items from the box, lay and finish the veneer, then reattach those pieces? If anyone's done this and has pics that would be even better.

Painting around the amp would be pretty easy. Just tape it off around the edges of the amp. I wouldn't even worry about the bottom since you wont be able to see.

-Nevermind. For some reason I thought you said paint and not veneer. Sorry, can't help you there.

That's what great about eD is, you can tailor their sub offerings the way YOU want it. Unlike SVS, HSU where it's complete and that it. Not dissing them. Far from it. Just eD builds to suit.

Very nice.

NO. You can buy one unfinished, though, and veneer it yourself.
