Interesting how network or satellite give a better picture than bluray. The picture is almost live like watching football even when watching HD movies.

Sure it does. Lower rez, and less bandwidth provides a much better picture then Blu-Ray!

I think you may want to calibrate your player and TV properly. There are plenty of threads here on AVS that will address this issue. wink.gif

I have a TiVO hooked to my Onkyo 805 to my Mits 73835 DLP. It looks pretty darn good on the HD channels. Then I switch on my PS3, likewise hooked up, put in a full on BD, like the Dark Knight, and remember why I spent all this money on kit.

There is no comparison, my ISO calibrated TV, with BD, all connected via HDMI, just knocks the socks off of anything else.

If your system doesn't, then it's time to get it properly calibrated (BTW, you did take the plasma off of burn in mode, didn't you...), check the leads, or head out for some new glasses.

Seggers

Mits 73835, Denon X4000, Emotiva UPA5 (triggered), Wharfedale Pacific Evo 40s, CS, 10s, the internet, a NAS drive, a TiVo Series 3 and an Oppo 103 (bye bye PS3). There's also a Wii, but we don't talk about that...
