Just wanted to share this. I was in the office this morning and decided to order the Blu Ray Triple Feature Sapphire Collection which includes Braveheart, Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan cost of $24.96. Also ordered these blu rays...Jaws and Goldfinger. Total of everything came to $58.74 with free two day shipping. I placed the order at 8:38 am est this morning and I received a shipping notification at 2:10 pm est this afternoon that the discs would be delivered on Friday. My door bell rung at 3:15pm est an hour after I received the shipping confirmation email and what do you know, the discs were just delivered!!!

Now talk about taking over the industry. That's what you call outstanding service! No damaged box! No driving to any local store! Etc, etc, etc. Lol!biggrin.gif

He means which of the two different Versions of Transfer. The first transfer form the original release was botched.
There was a disc replacement plan/re-issue of the movie on Blu Ray a short time later.

It is the re-issue version. With original theater and extended versions of the movie. Thanks.

Once I placed two orders on the same day at amazon, one at amazon U.S and one at amazon Canada. The one from the states was at my door 2 days later (!) and the one from Canada took 6 days. I'm not joking. (I live in montreal by the way wink.gif )

Recently purchased the seperate BD of Gladiator from Amazon, it had the Yellow UPC sticker and had the B1R2 number.

From a Amazon review:
Quote:
Pay very careful attention when trying to determine which disc you actually received from Amazon. There's conflicting information on the internet as far as the telltale signs of the remastered disc versus the original crappy transfer. For example, most people tell you the packaging for the new version has a yellow UPC....not always true. Other people tell you the copyright on the back bottom right of the box says 2010 DW Studios LLC instead of the original which says 2009, also not always true.

It seems the only definitive way to tell if you have the new version is to look at the innermost rings on the underside of Disc One itself. Hold it up to the light, and at the end of a string of letters and numbers, you should see "B1R2". If you have anything else (i.e. B1R1), you have the original version and NOT the remastered one!

Yes, Amazon Prime has been great. In recent months I have used Amazon for automotive parts. Their prices have been much better than the local parts houses.

Amazon Prime is great, although they have started to downgrade the delivery a little by using Fedex to my local post office and then letting the PO deliver the package. Still usually within the two day time frame, but if they send my item via UPS I can get it the next business day.

Amazon service is indeed great. In Seattle area, I routinely get the package the next day even on weekends with my "two day prime shipping." The delivery van says Amazon on it so they are bypassing the middleman there shipping things themselves.

Like OP, I took advantage of a number of titles I had missed earlier for $5 to $10 each. Great time to be bargain shopping. You can sort the BDs by price and start looking from cheap to expensive. Way better selection there than the bargain bins at Fry's, Wal-Mart, etc.
