I'm curious if it's possible to use TV's i.Link port to dump digital cable programs onto D-VHS via HM-DH5U vcr if I have a CableCard, which I do. I already own a JVC MiniDV/S-VHS combo deck with bi-directional firewire, but the only time it'll talk to the XBR960 is when I use the front panel port and only on playback. BTW, good luck on getting any tech help from manufacturers should you have a Q of moderate complexity. A Sony rep, after walking me thru a troubleshoot, declared that everything was working on their end, and wished me goodluck when dealing with JVC. So I had to figure out everything on my own.
