AVS has specific policy with regard to posting protected material: and this applies to the recent posting of keys on other sites:

if you post (or link to) encryption keys on AVS:

1) you are violating AVS rules
2) you are putting AVS at risk
3) you may be making the situation worse: posted keys are being revoked and this may cause even tighter DRM enforcement

if you don't agree with this policy, we understand and you have a right to disagree: but don't post the keys here on AVS

Here are some AVS rules that are appropriate:

(2) As used in this subsection -

(A) to "circumvent protection afforded by a technological measure" means avoiding, bypassing, removing, deactivating, or otherwise impairing a technological measure; and

(B) a technological measure "effectively protects a right of a copyright owner under this title" if the measure, in the ordinary course of its operation, prevents, restricts, or otherwise limits the exercise of a right of a copyright owner under this title.

You understand that all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. This means that you, and not AVS FORUM, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via the Service. AVS FORUM does not control the Content posted via the Service and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. You understand that by using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. Under no circumstances will AVS FORUM be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, for any errors or omissions in any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, emailed, transmitted or otherwise made available via the Service.

You agree to not use the Service to:

f. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party. Again, this is not the place to talk about illegal downloads or how to obtain them. There are several forums on the Internet dedicated for discussing this type of material. This is not one of them.;

Thanks for your understanding: this is not something open to discussion here: it is the law and we are obligated as mods to enforce it and you as members to abide by it

please take the high road in every post:do not respond to or quote a problematic post: report it
