Tonight I watched the first disk of Planet Earth on my KDS-60A2000 and I was amazed by the PQ. It was mind blowing and I found it much more detailed and incredible and with no grain in daylight scenes than other BD movies including potc 1 and 2, black hawk down, swordfish, the departed, etc..
I just loved Planet Earth, I guess it was shot in hd video and maybe that is more appealing to my eye.

Anyway just wanted to share

Nature shows are more natural that movies regarding color. That's one of the reasons why I love them..the producer isn't trying to go for an "effect" or grading the scenes in an unnatural way.

I can't wait to pick up PE myself. I keep telling myself to make it my next purchase

Welcome to the club. PE has been discussed a lot already. It's not just details and colors, more strikingly is they way they were able to capture such footages. Shark attack is not particularly sharp, but still it's truly amazing

It will not disappoint. I was surprised by all of the LFE in the sound track. An elephant coming out of the fog rumbling towards you had my seating rocking. Sharks flying through the air and back into the sea BOOM. Everyone that watched some of these with us was amazed. HD DVD and 2100W Butt Kickers in Berkline 090's WOW.

That one underwater cave scene was awesome. In SD, I'm sure you can just watch through it without thinking anything of it. In HD it's like "whoa, that's COOL". I wont say anything more.

Sony pay me 10 beeeelion dollars to plant blu-ray seeeeds.

Got my copy the other day and have watched 3 discs so far... a must for anyone with a HD player......HD or BR. Just incredible footage, better than broadcast HD for sure.

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.
