My projector doesn't support a anamorphic lens, if I wanted to add one tho what other piece of hardware would I need to buy to stretch the image ?

Also take a look at the Oppo BDP-93 (Or the discontinued BDP-83 or even BDP-80). Not only does the player offer a V stretch mode, it also has subtitle placement, especially helpful if you watch foreign films (sony is notorious for this).

I notice my dune base dvd player allows me to stretch the image verticaly so am guessing that would do the trick. I all so have a onokyo 906 av receiver which seems to have zoom options
