OK, according to the calculator at projector central, my current set up (Sony HS51 on a 133" 16:9 1.0 gain screen) calculates to 10fL. An AE7000 on a 166" diag 2.35 1.1 gain screen produces 12fL at the closest throw distance of 17'3". My current brightness has never bothered me, so I should be more than pleased with 12fL. Having to mount it no higher than the screen worries me a bit, but I can re-build my box to lower it if necessary.

Hi everyone..
I plan use stewart reflection 170 active 3D 1.7 gain 12 foot 2.35 screen pair with cineversum blackwing one mk 2012 which has same lumen 1300 like jvc rs 45. according to cineversum spec, it can be light until 4 meter wide. the second plan is use stewart silver 5D 2.0 gain pair with blacwing one + passive 3D kit. I will use lens memory to fill the 2.35 screen. which one is better? anyone can help me? thanks for all attention. smile.gif

It does it by shifting the image on the chip. it is using the black bar area. in other words, the image can only be shifted the height of the black bars and the projector has to be mounted between the top and bottom of the image. System does work, but more limited on placement than a projector that is using the actual lens shift and zoom to do 2.35.
