Hello all -

Panamorph is working on a series of videos to explain the "235:1" / "CinemaScope"concept to the general consumer. Panamorph - and several of their partners in the projection industry - have developed the name "UltraWide" to describe the aspect ratio and the process. The first two videos are posted here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NkqMDUPUJg

We would love to get your feedback. Please remember these are geared toward the general public. smile.gif

I think you're missing Tom Servo and Crow T Robot biggrin.gif

See what an anamorphoscopic lens can do, see movies the way they were meant to be seen

A little cheesy but it seems to very simply explain everything for J6P.

Keep 'em comming Panamorph!

Some of the animations / videos shown during the Webinar clearly expained the anamorphic processes and were decent!

Is the Webinar recorded anywhere for future viewing and reference? confused.gif

I think the video is well done as an introduction for CIH for newbies. So props or that!

Though of course it doesn't address the question of how "non-ultra-wide" movies and HD content are going to be displayed on the screen. And that's a major piece of the picture anyone getting into CIH has to understand.

There is a video on the way to explain exactly that smile.gif
