Hi Folks,

This is a shameless re-post from the projector forum, but I forgot about the CIH forum, so I might get more traction here.

I currently have an Optoma HD72 outfitted with a Prismasonic anamorphic lens which I use in a CIH setup. Both have served my well over the years, but I finally feel the urge to upgrade to a 1080P 3D projector. However, I would like to continue to use my anamorphic lens. Does anyone had any recommendations on projectors that would fit the bill. I thought the Epson 5020UB would be a good choice, but it does have have the necessary vertical picture stretch for anamorphic lens use. A similar throw ratio (1.61 - 1.93) would be great, but I can remount the projector and relocate cables if needed.

Any, sorry I have not done a lot of research. But, anyone willing to toss a few models my way would be appreciated. I have found that identifying which projectors have vertical stretch to be challenging. So, going to some popular web site and search by feature does not seem to help. Any advice would be appreciated.

The only pug and play that really comes to mind is the Mitsubishi HC79000. I was looking to get one of these myself and lately I've considered the BenQW7000+Mini3D (about the same coin) and I know I can then create a true CIH allowing those odd ball ARs to be displayed properly.

The Epson 5020 does not have the necessary vertical stretch, but the 6020 does.

Other projectors to consider:

Sony HW50ES, BenQ W1070, Optoma HD25, JVC X35. All under $4K with 3D and vertical stretch.
