How is this model different from the U-100?

Thanks,
Ken

Probably best to ask Shawn at Panamorph.

Ken,

If you find out, please post what you learn. I absolutely love my U-100, and would be curious to know. Thanks!

Hi Guys,

The U120 takes advantage of continued advances in manufacturing. Panamorph optics produce sharp images by addressing the extreme sensitivity of astigmatism in anamorphic lenses which otherwise blurs the pixels. We are now able to control our processes to even tighter tolerances for even higher uniform, pixel-level clarity. In addition, we are dark masking non-optical surfaces of the optics to reduce scattered light. Beyond this, the U120 is now all black (except for the rail). And instead of simple screws at the ends of the rails we have custom end-stops and we also include a mounting plate to mount to a ceiling, shelf or custom projector plates. Finally, the U120 has some design modifications so that it is a simple process to convert it to the motorized U120M model. Overall an incremental improvement over the popular U100. These units are now available through AV dealers (including AVS) but it will be another week or so before we publish the user manual and other info on the web site.

Note: Preliminary manual now available at http://www.panamorph.com/GuideDownload.html.

We've got lots of tweaking to do but there are already some nice images to help with installation, etc.

Ken, I'm selling my PSO-U100, I absolutely LOVE it. But unfortunately, I have to sell it. Anyway, you can check it out here if you're interested:
