Ok, I'm looking in to going the constant 2:35:1, but what happens when you watch something that doesn't conform to the lenses. I've read that panamorph works with 70% of movies, does it work with TV shows as well? How does this work.

If this has been asked before, forgive me, I did a search and couldn't find anything

Thanks in advance.

The only time a program or source "does not conform" is when it can not be 'scaled'.

Typically for this type of program, you simply move the lens out of the light path...

Nothing is going to give you a 2:35 width picture for all your aspect ratio DVDs or TV.
as stated you can move the lense out of the way. and other aspect ratios will have black bars

Anything narrower than 2.35 will leave unused portions of the screen blank on the sides. If you leave the lens in place all the time these unused portions on the side will be black bars.

If anything is wider than 2.35 (eg. 2.76) you'll use the full width and have black bars top/bottom.
