Here is the shuffleboard I could get from a local seller.

http://www.amazon.com/Gamenamics-9-F.../dp/B000JFO58Y

The bad is that it doesnt have legs, so I would have to make some. Also there is a 4 inch long gouge in the playing surface. The playing surface is veneer, so im not sure if it can be fixed or not.

The good is its only $50 with the pucks. I dont mind building some legs for it, but im worried about the playing surface. This is one of those games that would probably only be used once in a while. Like my bubble hockey and foosball table. I dont care if you can see the repair on the surface, I just dont want it to hurt the puck movement. The gouge isnt that deep, but its past the veneer and into the particle board a little bit. What do you think?

Just fill it in with epoxy resin (like on a bar top). Shouldn't affect play too much if at all. The stuff can be a little difficult to work with so practice on scrap wood. You can get the stuff at the big box home improvement stores.

For $50 it's worth a shot.

Great thanks guys. I figured $50 for the table, and maybe another $50-$100 in wood for the legs, paint, resin, and a few other things its a decent deal.

I would. I dont mind it not being perfect, but cinderblocks dont go well with the decor I come across 2x4's left in foreclosures all the time. I will probably just use some of those. Now I have to figure out how to get it to my house. I have to return my big screen tv to sams club, so I will probably rent a uhaul and do both in the same day. Do you think a home depot pickup truck would be able to get a 9' table?

2x4's way classier than cinder blocks Get at least 4x4's and better yet 6x4's

I just played on a huge shuffleboard last night. I dont know the size, but I would guess 18-22ft. Its going to make the 9ft table seem like a kids toy. Ive been throwing the idea of making my own. Theres been a ton of for sales posted on craigslist for hardwood. I just need to do more research on the playing surface. Theres no way I could get a 16'+ piece of wood in my basement. Im thinking of using two pieces, but im not sure if this is possible. Also the professional tables use climate adjusters. I dont even know what the hell those are lol. I love doing things myself, but the lack of knowledge is pushing me away. The shuffleboard thread had some good ideas in it, so I might go off one of those.

well, the problem is the thing is just so huge and it requires a 2nd player unless you get the rebound game. They have shuffle bowling on craigs list all the time. That game is fun!

Girlfriend will be playing with me so that doesnt matter. Havent seen a shuffle bowling yet on Criaglist, but I would prefer to make something anyway. If I could find one for a good deal I would pick it up though. Stuff like this doesnt pop up much on Metro Detroit Craigslist.

Kwame Kilpatrick? The tigers? Eminem not releasing an album? Pistons loss to the C's in the playoffs? All contribute
