So I found what was in my opinion, the deal of the century! On Craigslist, I found a guy that bought a MAME Ultimate II cabinet complete with a Wells Gardner 27" arcade monitor, 4 player control deck completely set up with an I-pac, glowing trackball, and a PC. If you have searched these out on the internet, new they go for over 3 large. He was asking $800 bucks for it.

I get to his house, and he couldn't even demo it for me because something had apparently happened to the MAMEWAH frontend software and he was experiencing OS issues. To him, all he had was a box of wood, a monitor and a broken PC. I asked him if he would take $500 bucks for it all things considered...he did!!!

When I got the beast home. I threw in an Intel C2D PC and reconfigured MAME with the Maximus Arcade FE with Vista x64. Everything worked perfect!!! Put a coat of jet black semi-gloss on the lower half of the cabinet, ordered some sideart and a marquee, put in a flourescent light for the marquee, added some speaker covers, and presto, below I now have something that I have wanted my entire life...and super cheap too!

Thanks all. I have been VERY lucky with the "fun" room lately. I have my home theater in here as well. I'll get some photos up of this soon. Last May, I upgraded my older Polk Audio RT system to a full blown perfect Polk Audio LSi system and actually made money by doing so. For those that know Polk's LSi systems, they ain't cheap. These were all in perfect condition. This was another local Craigslist deal, and to this day, everytime I look at my speakers, I just grin. Anyway, below is the copy/paste from the Polk Audio forums and the direct link if you're interested in the reactions:

http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82605

You guys will not believe this. I'm trolling Craigslist last night and I find an ad for "Home Theater System - $500." As I'm reading and looking at the photos a bit more...I see an owners manual that says LSi. Here's what the outcome was...yes I am still in a daze...I bought it.

Polk Audio LSi 25's in ebony
Polk Audio LSiC
Polk Audio PSW404B
Denon AVR-3803 Receiver
2 spools of Monster XP cable
Misc Monster RCA cables

Is that the best $500 ever spent or what!?!?! I thought for sure it was a scam or a misprint.

My system as it currently stands is below:

THE SYSTEM
Polk Audio LSi25 Mains
Polk LSiF/X Surrounds
Polk Audio LSiC Center
Klipsch RW-12D Subwoofer
Parasound Classic 7100 Pre/Pro
Parasound 2205A Amplifier
Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD Blu-ray Player
Monster HTS 2600
Microsoft XBox 360
Mistubishi 65" WS-65819 HDTV

Fantastic! This has been a project on my to-do list for many years... and it will likely sit there for many more. But it's great to see someone else have one that's all put together.

A video of the IGT Jackpot Jungle slot machine and CEI poker machine in action. I recently recalibrated the colors on the poker machine with the "correct" blue background as compared to the "black" background in the video. I'll get a video of the MAME cabinet up soon.

If you dont mind me asking, how much does a decent slot machine cost? Maybe like the ones you have in the video. I wouldn't mind having one in my basement.

It really depends on what you're looking for. They seem to range anywhere from $400-$2000. Condition and game popularity can play a big part in the cost variance.

Do you know how much an average slot machine weighs? I have a shelf supporting a megatouch with room next to it for a slot machine.
