McClure Shuffleboards makes the Rock Ola shuffleboard table. This is an authentic reproduction of a table that was made in 1948 and 1949. We have reproduced every detail and the new Rock Ola Shuffleboard tables are actually made nicer than the original ones. We use better woods for the end of the cabinet often called the horse collar. We also use better wood for the legs and sub frame. The original Shuffleboard Tables were made with poplar wood for the legs, sub frame and horse collar. The only maple wood was on the natural aprons between the stainless steel covers and the horse collar ends. These horse collars were often stained mahogany in color so often people say they are mahogany wood but they were all poplar. Today we offer the cabinet and horse collar in maple or walnut wood. We also make a reproduction score unit and match the original green powder coated pole, that goes real well with the stained glass green inlays and the green on the metal Rock Ola name plate. The side connector is made out of stainless steel and the trim on the legs is also made out of metal.
This picture here was taken in a customers gameroom where we installed this classic 22 foot Rock-Ola shuffleboard table with an electronic score unit. The score unit is an exact replica of the original ones you can play horse collar, frames or points and the glass is real glass not plexiglass. If you would like a Rock Ola shuffleboard or other shuffleboard table we have a complete line of custom made Shuffleboard Tables all on our web site. Not sure if you looked on McClure Tables website but they have a phone number listed at 800-565-0977. I have a McClure shuffleboard table and was able to get a hold of Todd just last week with some questions on the finish of my table as I am getting some Salksound Speakers to match it.
